M-POWER Young Adults Finance Literacy Training

Young Adults is that group of people in transition from Childhood to Adulthood.

It’s a phase of life where one moves from financial dependence to financial independence slowly but surely.

For them, their world is changing rapidly; they have new roles in the society and new economic responsibilities.


It’s of great importance to equip the young adults with money management skills in order to empower them to become more financially responsible citizens who will build strong families, neighborhoods as well as local and international communities.


This training introduces basic knowledge, skills and tools around money , Personal Finance Management, budgeting, savings, money wastage, borrowing, growing your money, earnings, financial services & service providers and personal Financial planning.
Objectives of the training:

  1. Young adults do not know enough. They do not appreciate the fact that money does not come easy. They need continuous education on how money works.
  2. To train young adults to be better money managers from an early age.
  3. To make young people aware of their spending patterns and the temptations to spend much money on wants. This helps them cultivate a culture of saving from an early age.
  4. To help young people break their parents and guardians cycle of poor money management and hence set financial goals and start developing plans for realizing those goals at an early age.
